<p><strong>Alleged crack dealer</strong></p><p><strong>waives his hearing</strong></p><p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Wilkes-Barre man arrested on charges he sold crack cocaine from his residence on Sturdevant Street waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Luzerne County Central Court on Tuesday.</p><p>City police and state police arrested John William Tucker, 43, on Feb. 21 after he allegedly sold crack cocaine several times from his residence in February.</p><p>Tucker waived two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and a single count of criminal use of a communication facility to county court.</p><p>Police withdrew two other counts of possession with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance against Tucker.</p><p>Tucker&#8217;s bail was modified from $100,000 to $10,000 at the preliminary hearing.</p><p><strong>WB man faces trial</strong></p><p><strong>in alleged sex assault</strong></p><p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Wilkes-Barre man charged by city police with sexually assaulting a girl in 2017 waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Luzerne County Central Court on Tuesday.</p><p>Police arrested Manuel Henriquez, 32, of Brown Street, on Feb. 13 for performing a lewd sex act on a girl inside his residence in May 2017, court records say.</p><p>Henriquez waived two counts of indecent assault and a single count of endangering the welfare of children to county court. Henriquez remains free on the $100,000 bail he posted Feb. 14.</p><p><strong>Man held for trial</strong></p><p><strong>in incident with teen</strong></p><p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A man from Brooklyn, N.Y., arrested in November after he allegedly grabbed a teen girl in a bear hug will face charges in Luzerne County Court.</p><p>Einstein Lima, 39, was charged by Wilkes-Barre police on Nov. 19 when he allegedly drove up to a 13-year-old girl on Charles Street asking for her name. She ignored Lima, whom she did not know.</p><p>Lima drove around the block, exited his vehicle and approached the girl from behind in a &#8220;bear hug,&#8221; according to a criminal complaint.</p><p>Police said the girl was able to free herself and fled to a residence to call 911.</p><p>Lima appeared Tuesday for a preliminary hearing before District Judge Brian Tupper in Luzerne County Central Court.</p><p>Tupper determined prosecutors established a case, sending charges of false imprisonment, simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia to county court.</p><p>Lima remains free on $50,000 bail.</p><style>
