Annual student history symposium held at Luzerne County Community College

<p>Grace Dacey, of Mountaintop, a recent graduate of Junior Leadership of Wilkes-Barre, spearheaded a fundraiser for the SPCA Luzerne County.</p><p>Dacey is presently a senior at Holy Redeemer High School in Wilkes-Barre. With the cooperation of her high school and the Catholic feeder schools Wyoming Area Catholic, Holy Family, Holy Rosary, St. Jude, and St Mary&#8217;s/St. Nick&#8217;s, she collected as a whole 856 items which included 328.6 pounds of food and litter and many other items from treats, blankets, cleaning products, collars and leashes. </p><p>Dacey plans on continuing many other service opportunities as she heads to King&#8217;s College in Wilkes-Barre in the fall 2019. She will major in the Honors Physician&#8217;s Assistant 5-year Accelerated Program.</p><style>
