Small Wonders Daycare celebrates Dr. Seuss Week

<p>The Pennsylvania Society of Radiologic Technologists (PSRT) has selected Misericordia University medical imaging major Rachel Naylor, of Duryea, to represent the Keystone state at the 2019 American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Student Leadership Development Program in Orlando, Florida.</p><p>Naylor, the daughter of Mark and Sharyn Naylor, will participate in the ASRT Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates meeting from June 20-23.</p><p>PSRT selected the Misericordia University student after reviewing essays from radiologic technology students throughout the state. In the 500-700-word essays, the students outlined how they expected to grow professionally by participating in the all-expenses paid program and trip. Up to 100 students &#8211; two per state &#8211; were eligible for the program, which also includes educational programs designed for students, professional mentorship meetings, and an insider&#8217;s look into the largest association for medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals.</p><p>In her essay, the Pittston Area High School graduate wrote how she has &#8220;always taken an interest in trying to make the world a better place for everyone&#8217;&#8217; and how service opportunities at Misericordia have enabled her to expand upon that noble goal.</p><p>&#8220;Misericordia pushes its students to get involved in volunteer services and help others in the community,&#8217;&#8217; wrote Naylor, a senior in the medical imaging program. &#8220;Misericordia has provided me with countless amounts of opportunities that have allowed me to grow as a person through service. I believe the Student Leadership Development Program would be the next step for me to get involved in something bigger.&#8217;&#8217;</p><p>Naylor has been a member of the Medical Imaging Club since her sophomore year, enabling her to participate in numerous volunteer activities with Cougars Connect for Cancer, the Wish Upon A Star program, Relay for Life and more.</p><style>
