County flood authority seeks support for grants to fund two projects

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A 13-year-old girl bit and punched a Plains Township man who forced her to perform a lewd sex act inside a city home last year, according to court papers filed Thursday.</p><p>Jonathan Paul Weaver, 21, of Williams Street, was arraigned by District Judge Richard Cronauer in Wilkes-Barre on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault and three counts of indecent assault. He was released on $25,000 unsecured bail.</p><p>Weaver was 20 at the time of the alleged assault on May 23, 2018.</p><p>According to the criminal complaint:</p><p>Police responded to an apartment in the 800 block of South Franklin Street to investigate a sexual assault on a teen girl.</p><p>The girl was later questioned by a forensic interviewer at the Luzerne County Children&#8217;s Advocacy Center.</p><p>During the interview, the girl claimed she was at a friend&#8217;s residence and Weaver wanted her to perform a lewd sex act. She said Weaver grabbed her hand and walked to a bathroom where he blocked her from leaving.</p><p>While in the bathroom, Weaver forced the girl to her knees to perform a sex act. That&#8217;s when the girl bit and punched Weaver in the groin.</p><style>
