<p>SWOYERSVILLE &#8212; For the past three years, Swoyersville Mayor Chris Concert has headed up an annual Bumper Bunnies event, a Easter themed trunk-or-treat for kids.</p><p>But because of its growing popularity, Concert needs some help raising funds to make this year&#8217;s event an even bigger success.</p><p>&#8220;On Friday night I&#8217;m trying something new,&#8221; Concert said. &#8220;As mayor I like to do fun things. I try to think outside the box.&#8221;</p><p>Concert is hosting &#8220;Community Comedy Night with the Mayor&#8221; at Wisecrackers Comedy Club inside the Mohegan Sun Pocono in Plains Township on Friday night.</p><p>Tickets cost $20, but they have to be purchased through Concert.</p><p>&#8220;If you buy tickets (anywhere else), the money won&#8217;t go to my cause,&#8221; the mayor said. &#8220;If you purchase a ticket and can&#8217;t attend, the tickets are still good until June 22 on Friday&#8217;s and Saturday&#8217;s.&#8221;</p><p>You can call Concert at 570-239-4124 for tickets.</p><p>Attendees will be treated to the comedic workings of Brian McFadden, Brian Cichocki and Marc Staudenmeier, according to Concert.</p><p>&#8220;I&#8217;m not responsible for any of the adult content they say,&#8221; Concert laughed. &#8220;They are comedians.&#8221;</p><p>Doors open at 8 p.m. with the show beginning at 9 p.m. You must be 21 years or older.</p><p>Concert said he will be getting back $6 per ticket that will go toward this year&#8217;s Bumper Bunnies.</p><p>People can purchase tickets from Concert by checking his personal Facebook page or by clicking on the Swoyersville Community Facebook page, the one with potato cakes as the banner.</p><p>Last year, Concert said nearly 400 kids participated in the Bumper Bunnies.</p><p>&#8220;I&#8217;m anticipating that 500 kids will show up,&#8221; he said. &#8220;The community loves it, and more importantly the kids love it.</p><p>&#8220;Every kid gets candy and a prize,&#8221; Concert added. &#8220;They also get five free raffle tickets that they can place in a basket for prizes like gift cards and bicycles.&#8221;</p><p>The mayor also brought back the old-fashioned Easter bonnet contest for people of all ages.</p><p>Concert said he is still looking for people who are willing to volunteer and get involved.</p><p>The event will start at 2 p.m. on April 14.</p><p>&#8220;If I can make it a fun night on Friday, we can do wonders with the money,&#8221; Concert said.</p><style>
