Local start-ups try to lure investors at Pitch event

<p>SWOYERSVILLE &#8212; After finding a shotgun shell outside a borough home late Tuesday, police chased a man through the woods and arrested him at bar in Luzerne, authorities say.</p><p>Dennis Lukasavage, 46, of 150 Diamond St., now faces a slew of charges after he allegedly ran from authorities responding to a domestic dispute.</p><p>According to a criminal complaint:</p><p>Police responded to Diamond Street for reports of an intoxicated male screaming and trying to shoot a gun in a residence.</p><p>When an officer arrived, a woman said she got into an argument with her boyfriend&#8217;s father, later identified as Lukasavage, and he tried to take her 2-year-old son out of her hands by grabbing his arm.</p><p>The woman and her son were inside the residence when she heard a gunshot in front of the house. A shotgun shell casing was observed outside by police.</p><p>After talking with the female, officers were unable to locate Lukasavage inside the home. They expanded their search to a wooded area behind the residence, where an officer saw Lukasavage hiding behind a tree.</p><p>The officer shouted to Lukasavage &#8220;don&#8217;t move.&#8221; In reply, the suspect shouted an obscenity and began to flee, prompting the officer to chase him through the woods.</p><p>The officer lost sight of Lukasavage after he scaled a fence.</p><p>Police continued their search of the area with the help of other municipalities.</p><p>Eventually, a highly intoxicated Lukasavage was tracked to the Coal City Tavern, less than a mile away in Luzerne. That&#8217;s where he was taken into custody and transported to the Swoyersville Police station.</p><p>Lukasavage was arraigned Wednesday morning by District Judge David A. Barilla. He is charged with reckless endangerment of another person, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and flight to avoid apprehension.</p><p>He was remanded to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of 10 percent of $10,000 bail. Records show $1,000 was later posted for his release.</p><style>

Police: Drunken Swoyersville man arrested after chase through woods
