<p>PRINGLE &#8212; A teacher with the Luzerne Intermediate Unit working at West Side Career and Technology Center is accused of telling a 15-year-old female student to send nude pictures of herself to a boyfriend.</p><p>Amy Burke, 39, of Woodcliff Drive, Dallas, was charged with a single count of corruption of minors after an investigation by Kingston police. A criminal complaint was filed against Burke with District Judge James Haggerty in Kingston on Monday.</p><p>According to the criminal complaint:</p><p>A 15-year-old girl told school officials and police that her boyfriend was mad at her because she was upset he was looking at other girls on a social media app. When the girl confided with Burke, the teacher told her to send the boyfriend &#8220;nudes.&#8221;</p><p>Another teacher at the school allegedly overhead Burke asking the student &#8220;Did you send them?&#8221; and the student replied, &#8220;No.&#8221; Burke then told the student, &#8220;Maybe you should, maybe you&#8217;ll get something out of it.&#8221;</p><p>When the other teacher inquired about what they were talking about, Burke replied she told the student to send her boyfriend nude photographs of herself. The teacher later notified school administration, the complaint says.</p><p>Other students allegedly overheard Burke telling the girl to send nude pictures to the boyfriend.</p><p>Burke has been suspended by the Luzerne Intermediate Unit.</p><style>
