<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; The parents of a teen accused of breaking into a family&#8217;s home and stabbing a man to death have withdrawn a suit against numerous mental health providers, who they previously claimed failed to prevent his outbursts.</p><p>However, one of the organizations is still named as a defendant.</p><p>Zachary Lee Hockenberry, 17, allegedly broke into the Sinoracki family&#8217;s home Sept. 11, 2016. There, he allegedly stabbed David Sinoracki, 45; his wife, Bobbi Jo Sinoracki, 36; and their 17-year-old daughter, Megan Sinoracki, at their Kingston Township residence. David died of his wounds.</p><p>Hockenberry, 14 at the time, has since been found incompetent to stand trial by Luzerne County Judge Michael T. Vough, who has further ordered that Hockenberry remain in Norristown State Hospital for continuing treatment.</p><p>Hockenberry remains there to this day.</p><p>Last September, Hockenberry&#8217;s parents filed a suit against KidsPeace and the Children&#8217;s Service Center of Wyoming Valley, along with several medical professionals, saying they failed to accurately diagnose their son, thereby failing to prevent the attacks.</p><p>However, on Tuesday, a filing in Luzerne County Court shows the family has withdrawn their suit against the Children&#8217;s Service Center of Wyoming Valley, along with all of the medical professionals named.</p><p>KidsPeace remains as the sole defendant.</p><p>Attempts to reach the family&#8217;s attorneys for comment were unsuccessful.</p><p>According to the suit, Hockenberry was diagnosed when he was 6 with &#8220;arteriovenus malformation (AVM) on the left parietal region of his brain,&#8221; a neuropsychological condition that the suit explains could lead to schizophrenic-like psychosis.</p><p>In the months before the attack, Hockenberry was hospitalized after threatening to kill his father, leading him to eventually be transferred to KidsPeace, where Dr. Mahmoud Elfatah &#8212; formerly a defendant in the suit &#8212; said he &#8220;was not comfortable having him there and that admissions should not have accepted him.&#8221;</p><p>He was discharged after two days with a new prescription for a psychosis medicine, before being re-admitted only a day later due to &#8220;explosive outbursts.&#8221;</p><p>He was once again discharged, with the family attempting to set up meetings with KidsPeace counselors identified only as Mary and Bernie &#8212; who are also now former defendants. But that meeting did not occur.</p><p>It&#8217;s unclear if the Sinoracki family plans to continue with the suit against KidsPeace. </p><style>

Family withdraws suit against some defendants in suit over accused teen killer
