Lawyer seeks delay in civil lawsuit against ex-officer Icker

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Plymouth man who had been accused of tying down and raping a child repeatedly over a two-year period has entered guilty pleas to some of the counts against him.</p><p>Jermie Wolfe, 29, pleaded guilty Thursday to one felony count of corruption of minors and a misdemeanor count of indecent assault by forcible compulsion before Luzerne County Judge Michael T. Vough.</p><p>Eight other charges against Wolfe, including counts of rape by forcible compulsion, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and statutory sexual assault, were all withdrawn by prosecutors in pursuance of a plea deal.</p><p>Wolfe was arrested in October 2017 on allegations he raped a young girl at the Hilltop Apartments in Edwardsville.</p><p>According to police, the rapes occurred between January 2011 and January 2013, when the girl was between 8 and 10. She is now in her teens.</p><p>Police say the girl told them Wolfe would tie her down with electrical cords and stuff a sock in her mouth, raping her when her mother left the apartment to go to work or shopping.</p><p>Court records show Wolfe would tell her &#8220;she was a good girl for letting him do what he wanted to do.&#8221; He also complimented the girl, telling her she looked like Hannah Montana, records say.</p><p>Wolfe&#8217;s arrest came after the girl made abuse claims at the Luzerne County Child&#8217;s Advocacy Center in 2017. Wolfe was arrested less than two weeks after her claims.</p><p>Vough set Wolfe&#8217;s sentencing for April 23. Wolfe was remanded to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility, where he will await his sentencing.</p><style>
