WB mayor: Ex-police chief threatened to sue if alleged threat not investigated

<p>KINGSTON &#8212; The owner of Main Bike World is asking all gift card holders to email him to make arrangements for reimbursement.</p><p>Rich Rosa, owner of the now-closed bike shop, said Thursday he returned to the former store to meet with building owner Corine Treslar. Rosa said he and Treslar tagged all the &#8220;repair customer bikes&#8221; that were left in the shop so customers can pick them up.</p><p>&#8220;Any customer that purchased a gift card is asked to email me at mainbike@verizon.net,&#8221; Rosa said. &#8220;Please provide the card number, along with their name and phone number.&#8221;</p><p>Rosa went on to say, &#8220;And just so the truth is known, a deal was almost completed that would have cured the situation. Unfortunately, it could not get completed in time. I appreciate Ms. Treslar and the 20-plus years that we successfully worked together.&#8221;</p><p>Rosa also said that all customers who had deposits on new bikes have received their bikes.</p><p>&#8220;I appreciate each and every customer that has supported Main Bike in its long almost 40 year history,&#8221; Rosa said.</p><p>Treslar took Rosa to court, claiming she was owed back rent. Rosa and Treslar said the monthly rent was $4,100. Court records show that Rosa and Treslar reached an agreement, but Rosa had not complied by the court-ordered Feb. 21 deadline and had to vacate the property.</p><p>&#8220;I&#8216;ve had a long-term relationship with (Rosa) and there are no hard feelings at all,&#8221; Treslar said. &#8220;I asked him to come in so we could return the bikes to the owners and he did that. I wish him well.&#8221;</p><p>Treslar said customers can call her at 570-331-3427 to make arrangements to pick up repair bikes.</p><p>Earlier this week, Treslar said she is in negotiations with a new tenant to replace the departed Main Bike World.</p><p>Treslar said she has owned the landmark building at the corner of Wyoming Avenue and Market Street since 1997, and Main Bike World occupied the first-floor space since 1997 &#8212; the first tenant Treslar leased space to when she purchased the site.</p><p>Treslar said she anticipates a signed agreement soon and the new tenant will move into the 4,400 square-foot space within a month or two.</p><style>
