Police: Inmate tried to conceal phones, drugs in anus

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Wilkes-Barre man arrested on charges he sold heroin from his South Grant Street residence waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Luzerne County Central Court on Tuesday.</p><p>Michael Ashby, 36, was busted by drug agents with the state Office of Attorney General and Wilkes-Barre police when his residence at 435 S. Grant St. was searched March 18.</p><p>Heroin was allegedly found in a ceiling.</p><p>Ashby waived to county court two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, three counts of criminal use of a communication facility and a single count of possession of a controlled substance.</p><p>Meanwhile, two counts of possession with intent to deliver were withdrawn.</p><style>
