Saturday is ‘Medication Take-Back Day’

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A New York-based customer service outsourcing company plans to open a 300-plus seat facility next month in Luzerne County, with dozens of jobs to be filled in the coming weeks.</p><p>Ubiquity Global Services will occupy a 30,000-square-foot space at the Hanover Industrial Estates, President and CEO Matt Nyren announced Tuesday.</p><p>Ultimately the company hopes to create 300 to 400 jobs by the end of 2020, Nyren said, adding that the positions will pay competitively with or above similar employers in the region.</p><p>&#8220;Northeastern Pennsylvania is the perfect location to help us continue our extraordinary growth and expansion in the United States,&#8221; Nyren said. &#8220;The local talent pool, proximity to our New York City headquarters and support from state and local economic groups made Wilkes-Barre an easy choice.&#8221;</p><p>Employees at the Hanover site will support Customers Bank, a financial services company based in Southeastern Pennsylvania.</p><p>Nyren said recruiting is in progress, and information about the openings will be posted on job search platforms as well as at <a href="https://ubiquity.applytojob.com/apply/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">https://ubiquity.applytojob.com/apply/</a>.</p><p>Ubiquity serves more than 50 clients, of whom many are in the financial services sector, and has nearly 3,000 employees worldwide. Their focus includes the payments industry, healthcare and digital commerce, officials said.</p><p>They have leased 30,147 square feet of office space in a 108,000 square foot multi-tenant flex building developed and owned by Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services at 1061 Hanover St.</p><p>See Wednesday&#8217;s Times Leader for more on this story.</p><style>
