Lancaster County Amish population grows

Their view: Ode to the unsung professionals

<p>NASCAR driver Landon Cassill and IndyCar driver Matheus Liest will be at Pocono Raceway on Thursday for the grand opening of the Pocono Mountains Activities &amp; Welcome Center and the inaugural Community Day at the track.</p><p>The event is open to the public and begins at 1 p.m. There is no admission charge and fans of all ages are welcomed. Fans can enter through the Gate 1 tunnel starting at noon. The track is located on Route 115 in Long Pond.</p><p>Activities and events will include:</p><p>&#8226; Meet-and-greets with Cassill, Leist and Pocono Raceway&#8217;s mascot Tricky.</p><p>&#8226; Use of the #POCONOMTNS Inclusive Playground for children of all abilities.</p><p>&#8226; Complimentary hot dogs, chips and water.</p><p>&#8226; Free tours of Pocono Raceway. </p><p>&#8226; Access to the Pocono Mountains Activities &amp; Welcome Center.</p><p>&#8226; Claws &#8216;N&#8217; Paws Wild Animal Park.</p><p>&#8226; Pocono Biking around the raceway&#8217;s infield.</p><p>&#8226; Blue Mountain Resort outdoor laser tag.</p><p>&#8226; Camp Papillon pet adoption.</p><p>&#8226; Trap Door Escape Room Puzzles &amp; Corks.</p><p>&#8226; Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau &#8216;Pick Up The Poconos&#8217; Recycling Crafts.</p><p>&#8226; Pocono Mountain Regional Police&#8217;s K-9 Unit demonstrations inside Pocono Raceway&#8217;s Bark (Dog) Park.</p><p>&#8226; Pocono Raceway kid coloring, ticket giveaways and lawn games.</p><p>The Pocono Mountains Activity &amp; Welcome Center will be open during race weekends for camping guests. There will be daily activities, operated by Northampton Community College, for camping guests of all ages.</p><p>More details can be found at poconoraceway.com/communityday.</p><p>Pocono Raceway will hold Monster Energy NASCAR Cup races on June 2 and July 28, and an IndyCar race on Aug. 18.</p><style>
