Luzerne County needs election day poll workers, director said

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; City police arrested Tyler Lugar when he was discharged from Wilkes-Barre General Hospital on charges he assaulted a nurse.</p><p>Lugar allegedly kicked a nurse in the face and chest after she instructed him to change into scrubs while in a triage room on Wednesday.</p><p>According to the criminal complaint:</p><p>Lugar was taken to the hospital for an evaluation. While in a triage room, a nurse instructed Lugar he needed to change into scrubs.</p><p>Lugar told the nurse he was not changing his clothes.</p><p>The nurse instructed Lugar a second time he needed to put on scrubs and when she turned, Lugar kicked the nurse in the face and chest.</p><p>Police said the nurse suffered facial injuries.</p><p>Lugar was arrested when he was discharged from the hospital at about 8:45 p.m.</p><p>Lugar, of Holiday Drive, White Haven, was arraigned by District Judge Joseph Carmody in Luzerne County Central Court on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment. He was jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $25,000 bail.</p><style>

White Haven man charged with assaulting nurse
