KECEC in Nanticoke announces April Students of the Month

<p>The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) recently presented the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) Chapter at Misericordia University with Gold Chapter Honors for its efforts to raise awareness of communication sciences and disorders, increase advocacy, and provide scholarships to students through ASHFoundation&#8217;s NSSLHA Scholarship.</p><p>In recent years, Misericordia University&#8217;s student organization received Silver Chapter Honors in 2012 and Bronze Chapter Honors in 2010 from the national organization. It is the first time it has received ASHA&#8217;s highest honor.</p><p>By earning Gold Chapter Honors, the Misericordia student organization has shared the gift of leadership, while demonstrating that the future of the professions is filled with strong leaders who are committed to serving and advocating for their clients, according to ASHA.</p><style>
