<p>Pawtucket finished Thursday&#8217;s game with more runs (eight) that Scranton/Wilkes-Barre had hits (seven).</p><p>But four of those seven hits left the park. And the RailRiders earned a series win over the Red Sox with a 10-8 matinee victory at PNC Field.</p><p>Trey Amburgey, Ryan McBroom, Ryan Lavarnway and Breyvic Valera all went deep off of PawSox pitchers and the RailRiders held off a late, four-run rally in a series that featured a combined 51 runs in three games.</p><p>Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (23-19) jumped out to a 7-2 lead as Amburgey hit a solo homer in the first, McBroom launched a two-run shot in the second and Lavarnway broke things open with a three-run homer in the third.</p><p>Valera added a solo home run of his own in the fifth that made it 8-3 and then drove in two more runs in the sixth with a bases-loaded single.</p><p>Brody Koerner went five innings for the win, but the problems came in the eighth and ninth with David Sosebee on the mound.</p><p>The reliever was touched up for four earned runs on four hits and two walks, including a two-run homer by Jantzen Witte.</p><p>J.P. Feyereisen was able to get the final two outs for the save, but not before the PawSox pulled within two runs with the go-ahead run at the plate.</p><p>Valera led the offense, going 3-for-4 with three RBI.</p><p>He has four home runs in nine games since joining the team.</p><p>The RailRiders open a four-game weekend series in Syracuse at 6:35 p.m. today.</p><p>The Mets blew a late lead Thursday night against Lehigh Valley, putting the IronPigs a half-game ahead of the RailRiders for first place in the IL North.</p><style>
