Their view: ‘Game of Thrones’ has nothing on this

<p>The 64th Fine Arts Fiesta was wonderful last weekend on Public Square. There was beautiful art all over the Square and entertaining and exciting performances on the stage. The Artists&#8217; Market had artists from all over the country displaying and demonstrating their special crafts. Expanded children&#8217;s programming gave the young ones lots of fun activities to enjoy. A variety of delicious foods and aromas tempted all of us.</p><p>Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make Fiesta happen. Thanks to the City of Wilkes-Barre for their support and for allowing us to be on the Square. Thanks to the hundreds of volunteers who assist with so many aspects of Fiesta. Thanks to the artists and performers for sharing your creativity and talents with all of us. Thanks to Mohegan Sun for the generous gift of tickets to the Josh Groban concert.</p><p>Thank you to the board of directors of the Fine Arts Fiesta and to Brian Benedetti, the executive director. This very special group of people works all year to continue Fiesta&#8217;s tradition as a free gift of the arts to the community. We are also grateful to the many individuals, organizations and foundations that support our efforts with their donations to Fiesta.</p><p>We will begin planning for next year shortly. Next year, Fiesta will celebrate its 65th anniversary.
