<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Last week, Martin Dartoe failed to secure a Democratic nomination for Luzerne County Council. This week, he failed to appear for a court hearing, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.</p><p>Dartoe, 30, first made headlines in January for his &#8220;Good Samaritan&#8221; role in the arrest of Jason Alexander Hackett, who fled from state troopers who suspected him of being intoxicated. Dartoe tackled Hackett to the ground.</p><p>Later, he was one of seven Democrats seeking nomination for one of six available county council seats in last week&#8217;s primary election &#8212; and was ultimately the only one not to secure a nomination.</p><p>Dartoe was arrested in March on drunk driving charges, which caused issues with a previous case from early 2018. He was charged with misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct in March 2018, but was entered into the accelerated rehabilitative disposition, or ARD, program.</p><p>However, after this year&#8217;s arrest, he was scheduled to have his admittance into the ARD program revoked on Wednesday. Court records show he failed to appear before Luzerne County Judge David W. Lupas, who issued a bench warrant for his arrest.</p><p>Lupas also revoked Dartoe&#8217;s bail in the case, which court records show was $2,000 unsecured.</p><style>
