Spanish students honored at Meyers High School

<p>Nine students from E.L. Meyers Junior-Senior High School attained national and regional chapter recognition on the 2019 National Spanish Examinations.</p><p>The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades six through 12, and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. Students are tested at various levels and in one of three categories: classroom experience, outside experience or bilingual.</p><p>Emily Aguilar earned a national silver medal and regional 1st place. Ashly Gutierrez earned a national silver medal and regional third place. Aniyah Vital, Jayda Caba and Katiyah Ellingsen earned national bronze medals and regional honorable mentions. Hada-shiun Lewis, Dylan Housenick, Jennifer Vergara and Jamie Vergara earned National and Regional Honorable Mentions.</p><style>
