Saturday&#8217;s Wyoming Valley American Legion action featured a perfect game at the prep level and a combined no-hitter in senior play.Back Mountain&#8217;s Zach Paczewski earned the perfect game in a 3-0 prep win over Swoyersville while Hazleton&#8217;s Gabe Colyer and Jatnk Diaz combined on a no-hitter in a 9-0 senior victory against Nanticoke.Paczewski threw 58 pitches as he and the defense behind him didn&#8217;t allow a baserunner for his first Legion perfect game. He struck out five. Infielders Brad Kugler and Jude Nocito both had five put-outs to lead the team. Nocito added an RBI double.For Hazleton, Colyer started and went five innings for the win, striking out eight with three walks. Diaz took over in the sixth and closed out the no-no, walking two with one strikeout.Stripes &amp; Strikes used an eight-run second inning to blow the game open. Colyer added two hits at the plate while Lance Book added two of his own with an RBI. Johnathan Pozniak drove in two runs while Collin Eisenhower doubled.LITTLE LEAGUEDISTRICT 16MAJOR SOFTBALLMountain Top 4, Nanticoke 3Jordan Andrews tripled and homered and Allyson Babula added a triple of her own to lead Mountain Top. Charlene Daisey got the win and shared pitching duties with Kendall Petrosky.Lilli Nice pitched for Nanticoke, which got two hits from Kiki Sekvelsky.
