<p>HAZLETON &#8212; City police filed charges against three men for the 2014 beating and robbery of a man who was found bloodied and bound with electrical wire.</p><p>Police said Xavier Miranda, 26, and Juan Jesus Rosario, 22, were arrested and a warrant was issued for Visneydy De Jesus Martinez, 24, alleging they took part in brutally beating a man on July 11, 2014.</p><p>The victim was found bloodied with his arms bound behind him with wire on North Fulton Court, police said.</p><p>Police said the victim was initially transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton and flown to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township.</p><p>According to a news release from Police Chief Jerry Speziale:</p><p>A resident of North Fulton Court emerged from their house when he heard a man crying for help just after 2 a.m.</p><p>Officers encountered a man lying in the middle of the street bleeding heavily from his face and mouth. His arms were bound behind his back with wire.</p><p>The victim told police he was beaten and held hostage inside his residence.</p><p>Police allege Miranda, Rosario and Martinez repeatedly assaulted the victim, held a knife and a handgun to his back. </p><p>While inside the victim&#8217;s house, police allege Miranda and Rosario attempted to sodomize the victim when Martinez entered and ran upstairs stealing jewelry.</p><p>Police said the victim convinced Miranda and Rosario there was money inside a vehicle parked in a garage. When Miranda and Rosario led the victim to the garage, a knife was held to the victim&#8217;s back, police allege.</p><p>Rosario brandished a handgun and pressed it against the victim&#8217;s back warning the victim to stay quiet. When a garage door opened, the victim was able to escape, police said.</p><p>Miranda and Rosario are charged with four counts of robbery, three counts of aggravated assault, two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and one count each of theft, receiving stolen property and unlawful restraint.</p><p>Miranda was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $1 million bail. Rosario is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning.</p><p>An arrest warrant for Martinez list four counts of robbery, three counts of aggravated assault and one count each of theft, receiving stolen property and unlawful restraint.</p><style>
