White Haven teen charged with shooting friend in buttocks

<p>HAZLETON &#8212; A woman was arrested in Hazleton on Thursday after an officer says he saw her perform a drug transaction on a city street.</p><p>Police say they found suspected heroin and other drugs in a fanny pack in the possession of Hilda Mora Polanco after she was detained.</p><p>According to police, an officer witnessed Polanco, 28, perform a drug transaction with a male while he was patrolling the area of Second Street and Lafayette Court.</p><p>The alleged transaction was performed just after 10 a.m.</p><p>Both individuals were taken into custody, but only Polanco&#8217;s name was released by police.</p><p>Officers say they found in Polanco&#8217;s possession six bundles of heroin stamped &#8220;Strike Head,&#8221; three rocks of crack cocaine and nearly 5 grams of marijuana.</p><p>They also say she had two cellphones and more than $500 in cash.</p><p>Polanco was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute, along with counts of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.</p><p>She was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Alexandra Kokura Kravitz, and was taken to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.</p><style>
