<p>NEWPORT TWP. &#8212; There&#8217;s perhaps nothing more NEPA than a summertime church festival, and if you&#8217;ve been itching for potato pancakes served from under a tent and instant bingo, St. Faustina&#8217;s Parish has you covered.</p><p>Starting this evening and continuing throughout the weekend, the St. Faustina&#8217;s Parish Festival will be held, as it is every year, at the parish grove, located on Old Newport Street in the Sheatown section of Newport Township.</p><p>Things kick off Friday night at 5 p.m., featuring musical entertainment by Flaxy Morgan.</p><p>Saturday sees musical entertainment from Joe Stanky and the Cadets, followed by Big Country with Big John of Iron Cowboy. Sunday&#8217;s entertainment will be provided by 40 LB Head.</p><p>The festival will feature all the summertime classics: soft-serve ice cream, beer and wine coolers, a bake sale and ethnic foods. Make sure to bring the kids, because there will be face painting, games, a bounce house and even pony rides.</p><p>Also make sure to check out the festival&#8217;s basket raffle, bingo and, of course, instant bingo.</p><p>The festival opens after 4 p.m. Mass on Saturday, continuing until midnight.
