Kiwanis Club of Swoyersville awards scholarship, makes donation

<p>The Kiwanis Club of Swoyersville held a dedication ceremony at the American Legion pavilion on Shoemaker Street for the Honoring Our Heroes banners hung along streets in the borough.</p><p>Opening the event was Hanna Fox of the Wilkes-Barre Academy Glee Club and Miss Mid State Teen who sang the &#8220;National Anthem&#8221; and closed the event with &#8220;God Bless America.&#8221;</p><p>Speakers for the ceremony were Mark Grochocki, chief of staff for Senator John Yudichak; Mayor Chris Concert, and Kiwanis PA District Governor Phil Weber. The attendees were treated to cake and coffee.</p><style>
