<p>EDWARDSVILLE &#8212; A new Family Dollar store will open in the Gateway Shopping Center on Thursday, Aug. 1.</p><p>According to a woman who identified herself as the project manager, the store will open Thursday in the space formerly occupied by Tuesday Morning, between Alliance Furniture and the Goodwill Store.</p><p>The woman said there will be six employees hired for the store. She said the store hours will be Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.</p><p>According to the Family Dollar corporate website, it&#8217;s stated that Family Dollar is one of the nation&#8217;s fastest growing retailers, offering an assortment of merchandise for the whole family.</p><p>While shoppers can find many items at $1 or less, most items in the store are priced below $10, which makes shopping fun without stretching the family budget, the website states.</p><p>The website states that every Family Dollar store carries popular national brands, plus Family Dollar&#8217;s own brands, all at great prices.</p><p>Products include household cleaning, laundry and paper essentials, foods and beverages, home decor, baby products, apparel, pet supplies, automotive needs, and beauty and health items. You&#8217;ll also find seasonal and holiday products such as gifts, candy, even barbecue grills and outdoor toys.</p><p>&#8220;As shoppers enter their neighborhood Family Dollar, they&#8217;ll find great values on the name brands they trust in a clean, well-organized store staffed with friendly team members who are members of the local community,&#8221; the website states. &#8220;Family Dollar offers a compelling mix of merchandise for the whole family.
