Beyond the Byline: The Wall, the kid and the kielbasa

<p>WEST WYOMING &#8212; A man who was involved in a &#8220;swimming incident&#8221; has a pulse and is being administered oxygen, according to West Wyoming police chief Curtis Nocera.</p><p>&#8220;As far as we know, it&#8217;s looking like a swimming incident. It&#8217;s still under investigation,&#8221; Nocera said.</p><p>Responders from all over the greater Wyoming area came to Swetland Road after receiving a call for a drowning victim. The victim was attempting to swim his way across a pond in the area off of Swetland known as &#8220;the pits.&#8221;</p><p>A fisherman nearby who saw the victim was able to help pull him out of the water, where CPR was administered.</p><p>According to medics, the man has a pulse but they were unable to provide any information about his condition.</p><p>When asked, Nocera could not comment on whether or not drugs and alcohol were a factor in the incident.</p><p>The victim was hooked up to oxygen as paramedics left the scene, and taken to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.</p><style>

Man rescued following swimming incident
