<p>A Butler County man faces charges after he allegedly shared nude images of a Luzerne County woman with two men without her knowledge.</p><p>Roy John Yanvary, 44, of Butler, faces two misdemeanor counts of distributing obscene sexual materials.</p><p>According to an affidavit filed Thursday in Luzerne County in connection with the case:</p><p>Yanvary&#8217;s ex-girlfriend told investigators that two male friends received images of her from Yanvary via Facebook Messenger.</p><p>The Times Leader does not identify victims in cases dealing with charges of a sexual nature.</p><p>The woman, who said she dated Yanvary from June 2018 until April 8, 2019, said the images depicted her while she was sleeping or passed out, and that they were taken without her permission or knowledge.</p><p>A man identified only as Cooperating Witness 1 told investigators he received a Facebook message from Yanvary on April 19 showing a topless image of the woman, suggesting the witness could use the photo to masturbate.</p><p>The witness said he received a second message from Yanvary stating he had talked with the &#8220;cops,&#8221; and that since the images were on his phone they belonged to him.</p><p>Yanvary later sent the man 14 additional photos of the woman in a nude and semi-nude state, the witness told investigators.</p><p>A man identified as Cooperating Witness 2 told investigators he received a Facebook message from Yanvary on April 21 containing &#8220;compromising and pornographic (nude) images of the victim,&#8221; the affidavit states.</p><p>A Butler Township police detective interviewed Yanvary on July 16.</p><p>He verified that the Facebook account in question was his and that the woman was his ex-girlfriend, and that Cooperating Witness 2 was the woman&#8217;s ex-boyfriend.</p><p>Yanvary told the detective he did not remember sending the nude images to Cooperating Witness 2, but that he &#8220;must have been drunk and pissed off at her.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;According to Yanvary, he took the nude images of the woman with her consent during the course of their relationship for his own personal use when he wants to remember her,&#8221; the affidavit states, and that they were stored in his personal photo album.</p><p>Records show Yanvary is being held in the Butler County prison where he is awaiting transport to Luzerne County with a hearing pending before District Judge Donald Whittaker in Nanticoke.</p><p>The woman spoke with the Times Leader on Thursday about the case.</p><p>&#8220;I am just beyond relieved this is finally seeing the light day,&#8221; she said.</p><style>
