Police searching for teen accused of violating court order

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; The unsafe fire escape on City Hall will come down over the weekend.</p><p>The city issued a press release advising the public that the City Hall parking lot will be closed from Friday night through Monday for the removal of the metal fire escape attached to the exterior of the building.</p><p>Last month City Administrator Rick Gazenski ordered signs posted on the inside of the windows leading to the escape that it was not safe. Gazenski, a former insurance executive also sought assessments from construction and engineering firms on the condition of the stairs.</p><p>Two reports confirmed the escape had deteriorated and become unsafe. The interior stairwells were safe to use in case of an emergency.</p><p>Two mobilized lifts were parked in the lot Friday in preparation for the work.</p><style>
