Rabies scare: Larksville man receiving shots after rabid bat bites him

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; The Bard is coming to the banks of the Susquehanna.</p><p>The Gaslight Theatre Company will present &#8220;The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged),&#8221; in three locations around Luzerne County this month, including two free outdoor performances. The comedic interpretation will present all 37 Shakespeare plays in 90 minutes.</p><p>The free shows are:</p><p><strong>&#8226; Thursday, Sept. 12 at 6 p.m.</strong> at the River Common Amphitheatre, Wilkes-Barre for the second annual Shakespeare on the River, co-presented by Wilkes-Barre&#8217;s Riverfront Parks Committee. The Times Leader Media Group is a sponsor of this event.</p><p>Rain location is Downtown Arts, 47 N. Franklin St.</p><p><strong>&#8226; Saturday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m.</strong> at the amphitheater behind the Pittston Memorial Library, 47 Broad St.</p><p>Gaslight Theater Co. also will present three regular performances at Downtown Arts, 47 N. Franklin St.:</p><p><strong>&#8226; Friday, Sept. 20 and Saturday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m.</strong></p><p><strong>&#8226; Sunday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m.</strong></p><p>General admission tickets are $15 and $12 for students, seniors, and military.
