<p>SUGARLOAF TWP. &#8212; State police said Wednesday that the 2018 case of a missing man is now a homicide investigation.</p><p>State police along with the FBI Evidence Response Team served a search warrant Wednesday morning at the home of William Morse, 60, who was reported missing in June 2018.</p><p>Authorities have concentrated their search at a barn outside the residence at 170 Hollow Road.</p><p>State police in a news release said they developed information the last several days to serve a search warrant at Morse&#8217;s residence and other areas in southern Luzerne County involving multiple investigative teams.</p><p>At a news conference later Wednesday afternoon, state police said it was now a homicide case.</p><p>Morse was last seen at his home on June 11, 2018, and was reported missing nine days later.</p><p>Sugarloaf Township police investigated Morse as a missing persons case. State police took over the investigation in October 2018.</p><p>Earlier this week, state police said pictures of Morse have been used on a dating website by a profile name &#8220;stubby.&#8221; The known profile of &#8220;stubby&#8221; was active from May 2019 through August 2019.</p><p>State police said a woman from the Hazleton area contacted them who had contact with &#8220;stubby&#8221; and recognized the pictures as being Morse.</p><p>Investigators say Morse was estranged from his wife and son at the time he went missing.</p><style>
