LAFLIN — A man and his wife have been found dead in a case of murder-suicide, state police said Monday night.

Robert Shaffer shot wife Sandra in the head around 4 p.m. on Monday while the pair were seated in adjacent recliners in their living room at 162 Haverford Drive, a release from the Troop P Major Case Team stated. Both were 65.

Shaffer then shot himself, the release added.
