<p>DALLAS &#8212; Borough police charged a Sweet Valley man on allegations he unlawfully smoked medical marijuana last month.</p><p>Police patrolling in the area of the Dallas Shopping Center on Sept. 21 stopped a suspicious vehicle allegedly driven by Jesse Lee Prebola, of Mooretown Road.</p><p>Prebola allegedly produced a medical marijuana card, a metal grinder and a container with a partially torn label missing required information. A glass smoking pipe with burnt marijuana residue was found inside the vehicle&#8217;s glove box, police allege.</p><p>Police charged Prebola with violation of the Medical Marijuana Act of unlawful smoking medical marijuana, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges were filed with District Judge Brian Tupper in Kingston Township on Monday and mailed to Prebola.</p><p>According to the criminal complaint:</p><p>An officer spotted a vehicle with its headlights turned on parked in the Dallas Shopping Center at about 12:40 a.m. on Sept. 21.</p><p>About one hour later, the officer noticed the vehicle remained in the lot with its headlights illuminated. The officer pulled behind the vehicle that pulled forward initiating a traffic stop.</p><p>Police said the driver, identified as Prebola, was slow to respond and &#8220;did not appear quite right,&#8221; the complaint says.</p><p>Prebola removed a container from his jacket pocket he allegedly claimed was &#8220;legal marijuana.&#8221; He also placed a metal grinder and a container with a torn label on the console.</p><p>Police said the torn label showed Prebola&#8217;s last name and a number but failed to list as required the date it was dispensed and other information. Green vegetable type material consistent with marijuana was found in the container and grinder, the complaint says.</p><style>
