<p>Joan Harris Centre&#8217;s 38th annual Halloween production titled &#8220;A Crazy and Creepy Halloween Party&#8221; is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19 and Sunday, Oct. 20 at the Dallas Performing Arts Center on the campus of the Dallas High School.</p><p>Characters from spooky to kooky and costumes of all sorts and styles will strut their stuff as ghosts and goblins, cats and cowboys in what can best be described as a musical Halloween parade. The annual October production is an opportunity for the centre&#8217;s students to become mythical creatures, storybook characters and animals of every shape and color. Fairy dancers, silly skeletons and musical monsters will all combine their talents in these performances designed to be enjoyed by &#8220;trick-or-treaters&#8221; of every age.</p><p>Focusing on the fun aspects of the season, the three fast-paced performances will feature over 400 dancers from all across Northeastern Pennsylvania performing a wide variety of ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and hip hop routines all set in a musical motif for the holiday.</p><p>Halloween is an enchanted holiday that conjures up illusions of the supernatural. A fairy tale time filled with imaginary characters that run the gambit from to good, to the bad to the bizarre. It is exactly this premise that the production is built upon. The performance is divided into three separate acts. Highlighting this year&#8217;s Halloween show will be an original dance treatment to the popular movie &#8220;The Nightmare Before Christmas.&#8221;</p><p>To keep a real balance to shows, and to add a little &#8220;trick&#8221; to what is mostly &#8220;treat,&#8221; the production will include a few haunting works such as &#8220;Disturbi,&#8221; &#8220;I&#8217;ve Got a Secret&#8221; and &#8220;Pax Deorum.&#8221;</p><p>The productions are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1 and 5 p.m. with a matinee on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $11 in advance and as always, children aged 5 and under are admitted free.</p><p>For more information on &#8220;A Crazy and Creepy Halloween Party, call 570- 287-7977.</p><style>
