<p>Six days removed from the season opener, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton was already down more some more forwards from the lineup.</p><p>More injuries in Pittsburgh have caused some havoc to the AHL Penguins as well. When they returned to the ice Friday night in Allentown, they got little going on offense in a 4-1 loss to Lehigh Valley.</p><p>Newcomer Stefan Noesen scored the lone goal for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (1-1-0-0) to give him three in the early going, but that was all the Penguins could muster against the Phantoms.</p><p>Wilkes-Barre/Scranton already had regulars Sam Lafferty and Adam Johnson up with the big club on call-ups along with top-line forward Andrew Agozzino.</p><p>Pittsburgh sent Agozzino back down on Friday afternoon and recalled Joseph Blandisi, so neither was available to take the ice in Allentown.</p><p>Wilkes-Barre/Scranton&#8217;s first line was Finnish import Oula Palve between Justin Almeida and Noesen, while Jake Lucchini centered a second line between Thomas Di Pauli and Ryan Haggerty.</p><p>Jordy Bellerive was with Kasper Bjorkqvist and Anthony Angello on a third line while Chase Berger served as fourth-line center, flanked by Sam Miletic and Joseph Cramrossa.</p><p>The patchwork group was overwhelmed early by the Phantoms, who burst out to a 2-0 lead in the first period on a 16-2 edge in shots. Kurtis Gabriel and Mikhail Vorobyev got the scoring started.</p><p>The Penguins looked to turn the tide when Noesen tallied in the opening minute of the second period on the power play, but Lehigh Valley answered with goals from Joel Farabee and Chris Bigras in a span of 1:09 to make to 4-1.</p><p>Palve and captain David Warsofsky had the assists on Noesen&#8217;s goal.</p><p>Veteran Casey DeSmith made stopped 25 of 29 shots for the Penguins, who were outshot 29-19 on the night.</p><style>
