<p>WILKES-BARRE - It didn&#8217;t even take Wilkes-Barre Area three minutes to get the school&#8217;s first playoff goal.</p><p>The school also got its first playoff win.</p><p>And now, Jolene Ulichney, head coach Colleen Wood and the rest of the Wolfpack will be looking for their first District 2 championship.</p><p>Ulichney scored the first postseason goal in Wolfpack history and joined Candladia Washinski with a goal an assist Thursday as Wilkes-Barre Area gritted out a 3-1 District 2 Class 3A semifinal victory over Abington Heights at Guthrie Field.</p><p>&#8220;I was really excited,&#8221; Ulichney said. &#8220;I just had an open shot and I took it. Luckily, I made it.&#8221;</p><p>She made history off a penalty corner that began to go awry.</p><p>But Ulichney found a way to make it work out, ripping home the game&#8217;s opening goal with 27:31 on the clock in the first half as Wilkes-Barre Area played from ahead for the rest of the game.</p><p>&#8220;We didn&#8217;t plan on doing that,&#8221; Ulichney said. &#8220;It was right off a corner. So we improvised after a bad pass back. But it was good to get that first one in.&#8221;</p><p>Pretty important, too, as far as the Wolfpack are concerned.</p><p>&#8220;I think, as a team, we need to get up first,&#8221; Ulichney said. &#8220;If they were to score right off the bat, we would get down. So we always try to get the first goal.&#8221;</p><p>Abie Sorakas added another score off a feed from Raven Bozek midway through the first half, and Washinski scored to put the Wolfpack up with 14:58 to go in the game as the Wolfpack began wrapping up the team&#8217;s first district win.</p><p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a good feeling, &#8221; said Wood, a longtime Coughlin coach who is in her first season coaching the jointure of sports programs from Coughlin, Meyers and GAR that came together to form the Wolfpack this season. &#8220;It&#8217;s nice for the kids who haven&#8217;t experienced it.&#8221;</p><p>Now, some players on the Wolfpack will be shooting for a familiar feeling.</p><p>It&#8217;s been four years since Wood&#8217;s Coughlin team won a District 2 title, back when Ulichney and Washinski were freshmen.</p><p>Now, they get to try to do it again &#8212; for the first time representing Wilkes-Barre Area &#8212; when the Wolfpack face Hazleton Area in the Class 3A title game at 8 p.m. Monday at Wyoming Seminary&#8217;s Nesbitt Stadium.</p><p>&#8220;Obviously, for the first time as the Wolfpack, we want to set a good example and come out with something to remember this moment,&#8221; Ulichney said. &#8220;We want to get that gold.&#8221;</p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong>District 2 Class 3A Semifinals</strong></p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Wilkes-Barre Area 3, Abington Heights 1</strong></p><p><strong>Abington Heights`0`1 &#8212; 1</strong></p><p><strong>Wilkes-Barre Area`2`1 &#8212; 3</strong></p><p><strong>First half &#8212; </strong>1.
