Dallas girls soccer team moves ahead by not looking back

<p>King&#8217;s was held to one touchdown in the second half as host Stevenson dominated the final two quarters on the way to a 39-15 MAC football victory Saturday afternoon.</p><p>King&#8217;s trailed 15-9 at halftime as Gabe Boccella scored the game&#8217;s first TD on a 65-yard reception from Tyler Moore and Jaret Horn returned a point-after try 98 yards for two points. But Stevenson outscored the Monarch 17-6 in the third quarter to take command.</p><p>Moore&#8217;s second touchdown pass, a 9-yarder to Joe Herman, moved King&#8217;s within 25-15 with 2:20 left in the third quarter. Stevenson answered the score nine seconds later on a 87-yard TD strike. The Mustangs added another touchdown late in the game.</p><p>Moore threw for a career-high 276 yards, completing 19 of 35 passes for a pair of touchdowns. Moore has now thrown two touchdowns in six of the seven games this season. Boccella finished with a career-high 150 yards receiving on six catches, while Tim Costantino added four catches for 43 yards. Boccella also tallied a career-high 223 all-purpose yards.</p><p>Junior Mando Sallavanti led the King&#8217;s defense with seven tackles, two for loss, while freshman Joe Carchio tallied eight tackles. Senior defensive back Mikal Butler made seven tackles, including five solo stops, and Brendan Mozeleski led the squad with six solo tackles.</p><p><strong>Cheshire Academy 42, Wyoming Seminary 0</strong></p><p>The Wyoming Seminary football team traveled to Cheshire, Conn. to play Cheshire Academy and lost 42-0.</p><p><strong>Lackawanna College 48, Nassau 18</strong></p><p>Mike Crawford and Robert Kennedy each picked off a pair of passes the Falcons returned three of their five interceptions for touchdowns to handle Nassau.<strong></strong></p><p>Crawford brought his second interception back for a 54-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, after Kennedy scored on a 35-yard interception return and Ian Newton turned his pick into a 30-yard touchdown return earlier in the second half.</p><p>Lackawanna College quarterback Matt Cavallaro threw for 141 yards and tossed a 23-yard scoring strike to Sameer Parks and a 7-yard touchdown to Norval Black to give the Falcons a 24-12 lead early in the third quarter.</p><style>
