<p>PLYMOUTH &#8212; Democrat Adam Morehart was selected to fill the last remaining vacant seat on the Plymouth Borough Council at the panel&#8217;s monthly meeting on Tuesday evening.</p><p>&#8220;I am beyond happy, proud and completely ready to move forward,&#8221; Morehart said. &#8220;Thank you to everyone who has supported me.&#8221;</p><p>Morehart, 50, was appointed to fill the seat vacated by Frank Coughlin, who was appointed mayor of the borough after the passing of former Mayor Thomas McTague, who died Sept. 27 at age 80.</p><p>&#8220;All I&#8217;ve ever wanted to do is sit on that council seat and make a difference,&#8221; Morehart said.</p><p>Morehart will look to play a vital role in the continued revitalization efforts going on in downtown Plymouth. Meetings have been held over the past few months in an attempt to pitch ideas about how to better the borough, and Morehart has played a pivotal role as a leader in these meetings.</p><p>He was selected by the council members ahead of Debra Williams and Laura Hudock, who also put in for the seat recently filled by Ron Kobusky last Tuesday night.</p><p>Kobusky filled the seat of Clyde Peters, who resigned his spot on the council to move to Florida.</p><p>Morehart ran for council in last week&#8217;s elections, but came in fourth for three open seats. Republican Alec Ryncavage, 18, edged out Morehart for the third seat.</p><p>Morehart said his experience has prepared him for the role.</p><p>&#8220;I&#8217;m a businessman, skilled with running staffs and getting the ball down the field,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I won&#8217;t let you or our town down.&#8221;</p><style>
