Attorney general: Israel’s Netanyahu not required to resign

<p>Luzerne County Drug and Alcohol Director Steven Ross has resigned effective Nov. 22, county Manager C. David Pedri announced Monday.</p><p>Ross has worked in the county agency, which also covers Wyoming County, for 19 years, Pedri said.</p><p>&#8220;We are grateful for Steve&#8217;s leadership and service at both the county and state level and for all of his work to strengthen the services offered to those throughout the community,&#8221; Pedri wrote.</p><p>Ross was promoted to the drug and alcohol administrator position in 2016 and previously worked as the agency&#8217;s fiscal officer, the release said.</p><p>Ryan Hogan, the agency&#8217;s deputy administrator, will be the primary point of contact, Pedri said.</p><p>&#8221;We are confident that Ryan will be a strong leader during this transition and going forward,&#8221; he wrote.</p><p>The release did not elaborate on any reason for Ross&#8217;s departure.</p><p>The county also has vacancies overseeing two other county departments.</p><p>Marisa Crispell resigned as county election director Sept. 6, and Anthony Alu is retiring as assessment director the end of this year.</p><p>The county has received 20 applications for the election director position and five for assessment director, officials said last week. </p><style>
