Holiday drive accepting donations of warm clothes for homeless

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A holiday tradition honoring of a former Community Counseling Services therapist marked the 22nd anniversary of his passing on Friday.</p><p>Twenty-six window paintings sponsored by the Luksha-Roche family now grace the CCS building at Pennsylvania Avenue and Northampton Street in memory of Edward Luksha.</p><p>In the years since Luksha died, painters from Saint John the Baptist Church in Larksville, Sue Hand&#8217;s Imagery in Dallas, Northwest Area and the GFWC-West Side in Luzerne County have made it a holiday tradition to meet at Community Counseling Services at 9 a.m. each Black Friday and have a painting party that concludes with a pizza lunch offered by CCS, after having completed all 26 paintings</p><p>Participating this year were Corinne Barchik and Ashley Barchik Lunger from Northwest; Samantha Weiss, Colleen Weiss, Barbara Roche and Rose Luksha from Saint John the Baptist Church; Irene Mackiewicz, Betty Bauman, Terry Ross, Deidre Kaminski, Bonnie MacDonald, and Tara Rhodes from the General Federation of Women&#8217;s Clubs - West Side; and from Sue Hand&#8217;s Imagery, these students, alumni, and parents: Kira Zak and dad, Louis Zak, Lexie Oster, Patti Delevan, Nicole Delevan, Amelia Grudkowski, Lindsay Matinas, Maya Gross, Evelyn Migatulksi, Molly Reott, Raymond and Mia Chitswara, Caitlyn McHenry, Kristin and Alyssa Pisano, and Sarah and Caroline Stallard.</p><p>The organizers thanked Community Counseling for co-partnering for 22 years to add holiday cheer to their working environment, and special thanks to Community Counseling Director Jim Davis.</p><style>
