Two arrested in multi-unit drug probe

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; City police said they learned the identity of the driver from a passenger and a wallet left behind inside a vehicle involved in a pursuit and robbery early Thursday morning.</p><p>Police said a man fled the Turkey Hill store on Carey Avenue with money he grabbed from the cash register at about 2:17 a.m. A store clerk told police the man reached over the counter saying, &#8220;I need this,&#8221; grabbing cash and running out of the store and speeding away in a vehicle.</p><p>Police located the vehicle on South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard near East Northampton Street.</p><p>The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and initiated a pursuit with police passing through several red traffic signals.</p><p>Police said the driver abandoned the vehicle near Old East End Boulevard in Plains Township, leaving behind his wallet.</p><p>A passenger in the vehicle identified the driver to officers, police said.</p><p>Police did not identify the suspect but stated numerous charges were filed.</p><style>
