<p>KINGSTON &#8212; Starbucks, an international coffeehouse chain, is coming to Kingston in the former CVS Pharmacy building on Market Street.</p><p>Bob Statkiewicz of Red Leaf Development in Baltimore, Md., said Monday that the project is finalized, with all contracts signed.</p><p>The project includes an Orangetheory Fitness Center and other tenants to be announced, Statkiewicz said.</p><p>Statkiewicz said that Orangetheory Fitness hopes to open for business in February. He said the Starbucks will open in April or May.</p><p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve decided to turn the property into a little shopping center,&#8221; Statkiewicz said. &#8220;We have signed the leases with Orangetheory Fitness and Starbucks. Orangetheory will occupy 3,600 square feet of the building.&#8221;</p><p>Statkiewicz said he will file for all necessary permits for Starbucks to get that moving along.</p><p>&#8220;Starbucks and Orangetheory were the keys,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I thought I had the deal with Starbucks back in July, but it takes time with large corporations. We&#8217;re really thrilled to have this all in place now.&#8221;</p><p>Paul Keating, Kingston administrator, said the project will be a great addition to Kingston&#8217;s local commercial economy.</p><p>&#8220;We welcome Starbucks and the other businesses and it&#8217;s been a pleasure doing business with Bob Statkiewicz,&#8221; Keating said. &#8220;The project will be a welcome addition to Market Street.&#8221;</p><p>Statkiewicz said he purchased the property in 1994 from the Ertley family. He said the new facade on the building will be aesthetically pleasing and will greatly enhance the Market Street corridor.</p><p>Statkiewicz said he had five red maple leaf trees planted along Market Street &#8212; symbolizing the name of the company and its logo.</p><p>Statkiewicz said the new facade on the building, was designed by Miller Rosentel Associates Inc., 138 South Main St., Wilkes-Barre. The building sits between North Welles Avenue and North Thomas Avenue.</p><p>&#8220;It will be an extremely attractive building,&#8221; Statkiewicz said. &#8220;It will be the nicest property on Market Street.&#8221;</p><p>In July, Statkiewicz said part of the existing building is being demolished &#8212; where the former Ertley Motor Co. had its service area, with an apartment above it.</p><p>&#8220;The apartment was Mr. Ertley&#8217;s residence many years ago,&#8221; Statkiewicz said. &#8220;There were a lot of problems with that part of the building maintenance-wise, so we decided to remove it.&#8221;</p><p>Orangetheory Fitness &#8212; www.orangetheoryfitness.com &#8212; is based in Boca Raton, Florida, according to the company&#8217;s website.
