Riley Baird scored 12 of her game-high 19 points in the first half and Nanticoke Area opened a comfortable lead by halftime while overpowering Lake-Lehman, 56-49 in a high school girls basketball game at Lake-Lehman High School.Baird drilled a pair of 3-point field goals in the second quarter as the Trojanettes turned a three-point deficit after the opening period into a six-point halftime lead.Emily Hauer scored five of her nine points in the fourth quarter to help Nanticoke Area hang onto the win, after Lehman pulled within three points by the end of third.Claire Dougherty finished with 18 points for Lehman, while Sarah Salus added 15.Tunkhannock 30, Mountain View 27Anna Williams scored five points in the final quarter and the Tigers used a big finish to hold off Mountain View.Lexi Corby led Tunkhannock with nine points and the Tigers held Mountain View to a single point in a third quarter where nobody scored a basket. Corby and Alaina Ritz combined for 10 points over the first two periods as Tunkhannock edged to a 16-13 halftime lead.Mountain View&#8217;s Jane Travis finished with a game-high 10 points.Wyoming Area 52, Susquehanna 48Cassidy Orzel poured in 20 points and sealed the victory with a free throw with 8.8 seconds remaining, as the Warriors held off Susquehanna.The game was tight throughout, as Taylor Huyoc and Mackenzie Heath both hit a pair of 3-pointers to give Susquehanna a six-point lead after a quarter before Orzel&#8217;s nine-point second quarter rallied Wyoming Area into a 28-26 halftime lead.Nicole Silinskie added 13 points in the victory.
