For many years, Class 2A teams from the Wyoming Valley Conference have tried to rebound after losing in the first round of the PIAA Team Championships by being victorious in the first round of consolations.
				One of the hardest aspects of accomplishing that feat is having to wrestle the next day at 8 a.m. Numerous teams have fallen flat the next morning.
				Tunkhannock tried to stop that trend on Friday at Giant Center in Hershey but couldn&rsquo;t get much going and fell to Corry Area 46-20, ending the Tigers&rsquo; run in the state dual tournament.
				The Beavers won the first eights weights and took a 37-0 lead securing the victory before the Tigers could even get on the board.
				Tunkhannock has a few duals remaining on the schedule to prepare for the District 2 Class 2A Championships. That&rsquo;s where the team will try to end the longest championship drought of any Wyoming Valley Conference team to have previously won a district title when the Tigers try to claim their first D2 team title since 1985.
				Both the Class 2A and Class 3A district events will be held simultaneously at Hazleton Area High School on Feb. 21-22.
				On Friday morning, Owen Woods got the Tigers on the board first with a win by decision at 113 pounds to cut Corry&rsquo;s lead to 37-3. Dave Evans (126) added a win by technical fall for the Tigers, while Ethan Munley and Gavin D&rsquo;Amato both picked up pins at 138 and 145, respectively, to close out the dual.
