Chargers QB Rivers will enter free agency after 16 seasons

Northwest Area held off a Tunkhannock fourth-quarter comeback and won behind a strong game from Tess Edwards for a 41-32 victory in girls basketball on Monday night.
				Edwards led the Rangers with 11 points. Lexi Corby had 11 points to lead the Tigers.
				Wilkes-Barre Area 64, Delaware Valley 44
				Wilkes-Barre Area got big games from Vanessa Luna and Gloria Adjayi in defeating Delaware Valley.
				Luna had 17 points, and Adjayi was close behind with 16. Brooke Acoveno led Delaware Valley with 22 points.
				Wyoming Area 55, MMI Prep 32
				Morgan Janeski carried the Warriors with 22 points in a win over MMI Prep.
				Kim Amentler had 14 points to lead the Preppers.
				Holy Redeemer 70, Wyoming Seminary 17
				The Royals rolled past Wyoming Seminary behind a double-double from Sam Yencha. She had a game-high 16 points and 11 rebounds. Faith Sekol went 5 for 5 from the field, including 3 for 3 on three-pointers.
				Ava Bufalino led the Blue Knights with seven points.
				BOYS BASKETBALL
				Weatherly 72, MMI Prep 58
				MMI Prep couldn&rsquo;t keep up with Weatherly&rsquo;s offense despite big games from Marcus Kassick, Chance Eyerly and Drew Sechler. Kassick led the group with 16 points and both Eyerly and Sechler had 13.
				Scotty Zossin led Weatherly with 32 points.
				BOYS SWIMMING
				Dallas 115, Wyoming Valley West 43
				The Mountaineers topped the Wyoming Valley West behind JR Redmond and Shane Szczecinski. The pair helped win the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.
				On his own he won the 50 freestyle. Szczecinski placed first in the 100 butterfly.
				GIRLS SWIMMING
				Dallas 138, Wyoming Valley West 43
				Dallas dominated the Spartans after a strong performance from Melissa Leonard. She placed first in the 200 freestyle, 200 IM and 500 freestyle. She also helped her team win the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay.
