YMCA Kentucky Derby event set

PITTSTON &mdash; The Pittston City Saint Patrick&rsquo;s Parade Committee is pleased to announce its 7th annual parade will be held on Saturday, March 7.
				Parade day morning will kick off with a special Mass, to be held at 9 a.m. at the Pastoral Center of Saint John the Evangelist Church, William Street.
				The parade lineup starts at 10 a.m. in the south end of town near the Turkey Hill and Jack Williams Tire.
				The parade kicks off at noon from Turkey Hill. There are approximately 100 entries this year. Highlights this year include four pipe and drum bands, local mascots, dancing groups, local businesses, animal groups, and much more.
				The parade travels north on Main Street to the Coal Miner Statue. It then loops onto Kennedy Boulevard and ends at Cooper&rsquo;s Seafood. It usually takes about two hours.
				Wanted: Little Miss and Little Mister Pittston Leprechaun
				The 3rd Annual Little Miss and Little Mister Pittston Leprechaun contest will be held Saturday, Feb. 29 at noon. The contest will be held at the Pittston Memorial Library. Contestants are asked to be there by 11:15 a.m. to check in.
				Little Miss Pittston Leprechaun is open to girls, three to seven years old. Little Mister Pittston Leprechaun is open to boys three to seven years old. The categories will be judged with 50 points for beauty and 50 points for personality. The children are asked to wear something casual.
				One winner will be chosen in each category with one runner-up. Entry fee is $5 and prizes will be awarded. Winners will be featured in the parade on March 7.

				Pub crawl announced
				The Pittston City Saint Patrick&rsquo;s Parade Committee is pleased to announce its 5th Annual Pub Crawl. It will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 29.
				The Pittston City Saint Patrick&rsquo;s Parade Committee will take the Wyoming Valley Pipe and Drum Band around on a tour of three Pittston bars. The band will march into each bar while performing. They&rsquo;ll play a few songs, take a break, and play one more set before they leave and proceed to the next bar.
				The Pub Crawl starts at the Knights of Columbus, 55 South Main St., Pittston, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The tour then goes to Tomato Bar and Bistro, 7 Spring St., Pittston, for 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. After that the tour arrives at the Red Mill, 340 South Main St., Pittston, from 8 to 9 p.m.
