HANOVER TWP. &#8212; Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian that occurred Friday night near Claire&#8217;s Bar on Hazle Street.Larry Herbert, 61, of Wilkes-Barre was struck while crossing the roadway. The vehicle fled the scene. Herbert later died at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Luzerne County Coroner Bill Lisman said Saturday.Hanover Township police are investigating and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine the manner and cause of death, Lisman said.
