Rep. Toohil: Hazleton synagogue awarded state security grant

WILKES-BARRE &mdash; A magisterial district judge issued a warrant for the arrest of Ryan Michael Fluck when he failed to appear for a preliminary hearing Thursday on charges he assaulted a state police trooper.
				Fluck, 32, last known address as 1435 Old Highway Road, Monroe Township, Wyoming County, was arrested at a horse farm in Franklin Township on Dec. 11.
				State police allege Fluck injured a trooper during a struggle that involved another trooper being stunned by a Taser.
				According to the criminal complaint:
				Two troopers responded to the horse farm on Orange Road for a domestic dispute involving Fluck and a woman.
				Fluck was not authorized to be on the property and refused to leave.
				State police said Fluck barricaded himself inside a room.
				Two troopers forced their way inside the room to remove Fluck from the property.
				During a struggle, Fluck picked up one trooper and threw him against a wall, injuring the trooper&rsquo;s shoulder, arm and wrist, the complaint says.
				A first stun by a Taser had no impact on Fluck as he claimed he was on &ldquo;uppers,&rdquo; according to the complaint.
				A second deployment of the Taser struck the other trooper.
				Fluck was jailed until Jan. 21 when he posted $25,000 bail and was expected to enter a 28 day inpatient rehabilitation facility, court records say.
				When Fluck failed to appear in Central Court for a preliminary hearing on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and defiant trespass, District Judge Thomas F. Malloy Sr. issued a warrant for his arrest.
