WILKES-BARRE TWP. &mdash; A Wilkes-Barre woman caused an &ldquo;extreme disturbance&rdquo; at a Dollar Tree store when she was denied entry for not wearing a face mask, according to court records.
				Township police allege Atlandrith Diamond Owens, 20, of East Northampton Street, went into a tantrum when the store manager told her she needed to wear a face mask if she wanted to enter the store located in the East End Centre.
				Owens refused to wear a face mask and yelled into the store from the entrance doors alarming customers and employees, court records say.
				Police said Owens provided a false name when she identified herself.
				According to the criminal complaint:
				Police responded to the Dollar Tree store just after 4 p.m. on a report a woman was attacking the manager.
				Officers spotted Owens at the entrance yelling into the store.
				Owens told officers she got into an argument with the store manager after the manager told her she needed to wear a face mask while she was inside the business.
				Police stated in the complaint Owens refused to wear a face mask and became disorderly causing an extreme disturbance and alarm to other customers.
				Two neon green signs posted on entrance doors indicate patrons must wear a face mask while inside the store.
				Police noted the incident happened during a state of emergency and the state Department of Health&rsquo;s order issued April 15 that requires customers to wear face masks while inside a commercial business due to the coronavirus pandemic.
				Police allege Owens attempted to walk away and told officers, &ldquo;ya&rsquo;ll are lucky that you&rsquo;re wearing a uniform, take that off and see what happens.&rdquo;
				Owens initially identified herself as &ldquo;Lee Lee Smith,&rdquo; and &ldquo;Lee Lee Owens,&rdquo; before her sister told police her true name, the complaint says.
				When Owens learned her sister gave police her true name, she stated she was going to, &ldquo;Kick her sister&rsquo;s ass.&rdquo;
				Police said Owens was wanted on allegations she failed to appear in Luzerne County Court on aggravated assault related offenses.
				Court records say Wilkes-Barre police charged Owens in August 2019 when she threatened her sister with a knife and assaulted a city police officer during a disturbance at their East Northampton Street residence.
				Owens was arraigned Tuesday by District Judge Michael Dotzel on two counts each of disorderly conduct and false identification to law enforcement, and one count each of obstruction administration of police, default in required appearance in court, identification card, violating orders imposed by the state Department of Health and violation of the disease prevention and control act of 1955. She was jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $1,000 bail.
