Pence's wife says he was unaware of mask policy during visit

WILKES-BARRE &mdash; Luzerne County detectives Thursday added a felony charge against a Scranton man accused of threatening a Luzerne County judge.
				Daniel Tolan, 56, of North Sixth Avenue, was initially charged last week with two misdemeanor offenses of terroristic threats and criminal attempt to commit terroristic threats alleging he wanted to blow the head off Judge Fred A. Pierantoni III.
				During Tolan&rsquo;s preliminary hearing in Central Court, detectives withdrew the case before refiling the same charges adding a felony count of retaliation against a prosecutor or judicial official.
				Tolan was arraigned by District Judge Alexandra Kokura Kravitz on the latest case and remained jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $100,000 bail.
				Duryea police arrested Tolan on April 21 while investigating a violation of a protection-from abuse order at a woman&rsquo;s residence on Foote Avenue. At the time of his arrest by Duryea police, an arrest warrant was issued March 20 due to alleged statements he made during a video conference call with a physician&rsquo;s assistant on March 19.
				Pierantoni signed the PFA order on Nov. 14, which prohibits Tolan from having any contact with the woman.
				According to the criminal complaint:
				Tolan was involved via video conference with a physician&rsquo;s assistant at a Scranton medical clinic. During the conference, Tolan claimed he was &ldquo;thrown in jail&rdquo; on March 18 and hated Pierantoni.
				Tolan told the physician&rsquo;s assistant if Pierantoni ever came near his house, the judge will need to bring a bucket because Tolan was going to blow the judge&rsquo;s brains out into it, the complaint says.
				Tolan praised his skills as a sniper telling the physician&rsquo;s assistant he was going to &ldquo;kiss&rdquo; the judge some day.
				The physician&rsquo;s assistant told Tolan he should not be speaking that way and would have to report the alleged threats to authorities.
