Learning Curve: Montessori teachers working hard to keep hands-on learning going at home

WILKES-BARRE &mdash; Jay S. Sidhu, the namesake of Wilkes University&rsquo;s School of Business and Leadership, will join a Zoom webinar June 3 titled &ldquo;Surviving and thriving during COVID-19.&rdquo;
				The 1 p.m. webinar is being hosted by the university Office of Alumni Relations. Sidhu earned a Master&rsquo;s of Business Administration in 1973. The Sidhu School of Business and Leadership is partnering to make the presentation.
				The event will &ldquo;offer practical advice in dealing with the current economic forecast while outlining strategies for success on the road ahead,&rdquo; according to a University media release.
				&ldquo;The coronavirus continues to be devastating to our families, the global population and to our communities. This unprecedented pandemic has also changed how business will move forward,&rdquo; Sidhu said in the release. &ldquo;The challenges created by the virus have also created tremendous opportunities for innovative business leaders to re-evaluate operations and establish new processes and introduce new services that will help them distinguish their business and services from competitors.&rdquo;
				Sidhu is chairman and CEO of Customers Bank. He was honored three consecutive years &mdash; 2007, 2008 and 2009 &mdash; as Financial World&rsquo;s CEO of the year, and as Turnaround Entrepreneur of the Year. He established the eponymous school of business at Wilkes in 2004.
